1929
Norman F. Biery forms a co-op with other local farmers to make Swiss cheese from their excess milk.
1932
Swiss Cheese Maker
Norman brings in Harold Vonwyl, expert cheese maker from Switzerland, to make Biery’s first line of cheese more authentic.
1952
Biery hires first truck driver
1957
Continued Expansion
Biery continues to expand, adding another building for more cooler space and an addition to the cutting room. With the purchase of a cry-o-vac machine, Harold made fabrications to shrink and form packaging to the new cheese cut setup.
1959
2nd Generation Ownership
The second generation, Harold Biery (left), takes full ownership of the company.
1987
3rd Generation Ownership
Third generation, Dennis Biery, builds Biery Cheese from nine to eighty team members.
1983
Adds Cheese Smoking Room
Dennis brings in equipment from a cheese process plant and builds our cheese smoking room, further growing the Biery operation.
2011
4th Generation Ownership
Fourth generation, Ben Biery, begins leading the company.
2013
PRODUCT EXPANSION
Biery Cheese expands it’s product offerings.
2018
Plant-Based Solutions
Biery begins to create the building blocks to our plant-based solutions!

Celebrating 90 Years
